Social Search Brought to You By Google
I've recently started to notice the results of my search inquiries in Google sometimes include a section at the bottom of page one in titled, "Results from people in your social circle". It appears to use information that Google gathers from my known social circles such as the social networks that I've included on my Google profile along with information on the content that I've linked to on some of these same services. Interestingly (and I guess not surprisingly), some of the most useful search results come from my "social circle" information that Google gathers on me. This is on one level scary that this company knows so much about me, and on another level, an extremely powerful tool that continues to create more meaningful search results and I assume more efficient ad placement for Google…
